This is an illustrated (more or less) narrative of the trouble I went to to modify a lens primarily for the "pleasure" of doing an adaptation that many people would like to accomplish but few have actually done so. I will admit this was no easy task and could hardly be done without access to a lathe and some other machine sop related tools. This was done for fun, to be able to say I had done it and for ending up with a specialty lens.
