COURSE OUTLINES PROJECT of PhotoForum

This is an attempt to create a file of course outline templates to assist photography instructors with sample course outlines upon which they might base their own curricula. This project is meant to encompass not only course outlines but also outlines of classroom projects. Most of these are not associated with any current courses. Input from photographic educators and practicing professionals is sought to expand these outlines to reflect successful teaching strategies and also current professional practice.

If you would like to add a comment of your own to any of these outlines just send a message to Outlines Postoffice with the word OUTLINE in the Subject: line of the message and place the text of your addition/suggestion in the message body.

In return you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt and an assurance that your contribution will be added to the Outlines Project file as soon as possible. Currently there are the following outlines available:

OUTLINE FASHION
OUTLINE ARCHITECTURAL
OUTLINE FORENSIC
OUTLINE COLOR
OUTLINE PINHOLE
OUTLINE MULTIPURPOSE
OUTLINE PHOTOBLOCK

Remember, these outlines are nothing more than a basis for discussion and it is hoped that constructive comments to come will raise their level from "points-of-departure" to comprehensive and helpful files for photographic educators everywhere. Also, if you have developed an outline that you'd care to share with your colleagues please send it in for addition to this file as described above.

To get these files by e-mail send mail to: ritphoto@rit.edu as above but state in the Subject: line the name of the file you wish to receive and "send" in the body of the message.

In addition, we are interested in setting up links to illustrated instructional materials related to photography. If you have items like that available on the web please send the info to the address mentioned above.
