A bullet travelling at supersonic speed is caught and frozen in flight with an electronic flash lasting less than 1/1,000,000 second.just after having smashed its way through a lime. The impact causes material from inside the lime to be ejected both in the direction the bullet came from as well as the direction it is traveling towards. In the first instance by the fact that the material inside finds it easier to escape through the hole just opened by the bulet and in the second by being pushed and dragged along with the flying bullet through the exhit hole.
